Mike Jackson has working hard in his blood. When Jackson was as young as 5 years old he was working side by side with his grandfather on the family farm. “I have always been on the farm. I bought my grandpa’s farm from him in 2000. 600 acres and 200 head of cattle. In 15 years I turned it into a 1200 acre farm with 400 head of cattle.” Said Jackson. It hasn’t been all cattle for Jackson either, starting around 89’ he started pouring grain bin foundations and from there found himself working on bridges and steel buildings.

"it's all about doing the best job I can do"

At E&W we understand the value of experience and leadership. Even a simple job can go wrong if the team’s heart isn’t into it. Recently, Jackson has been training to become a foreman—to take on the responsibility of keeping a job and team running smooth. “It's about getting in there and working right beside them” said Jackson when asked about his new duties. Jackson is great about this, from shaping team members into leaders themselves to strategic planning, his name quickly started carrying weight around the company. “I like working at E&W”, said Jackson, “it's been a learning curve on some things but, it's all about doing the best job I can do.”
